For Memorial day, my family and I had a laid back dinner at my grandma’s house and afterwards we went to go see my Puca (grandpa)’s grave and give him his flag. He served in the United States Air Force for four years as a medic. In the military is where he met my grandma, who was a nurse, at the chow hall at Luke Air force Base here in Arizona. They were married for 44 years. The love is still there to this day even after he has passed on.

I’m not doing a lot of living these days.

A doodle from New York! This couple was walking along holding hands when their path was blocked by an old man with an ice cream cone. Instead of letting go of each others’ hands, they London-Bridged over him and he squatted down to let them pass.

During her farewell sketch, I got more emotional when she was dancing will Bill. Their embrace was very real and so full of emotions. I needed a hug after seeing that.
